At Dynamic Drilling Fluids we take a proactive approach to safety.  It is a policy of Dynamic Drilling Fluids that our employees are not expected to, nor do we want them to, be exposed unnecessarily to hazards on the job.  While we understand that the inherent nature of work in the oil and gas industry presents significant risk and danger, we believe that with the proper training, proper attitudes, and safe work practices, accidents and injuries to our employees are 100% avoidable.  
Employees of Dynamic Drilling Fluids are onsite supervisors when it comes to safety.  Their job requires them to be on location in potentially hazardous areas and we must all take the lead and stop any work we deem unsafe or potentially injurious.  We shall take this responsibility very seriously, and therefore management will work closely with employees on location to ensure our safety standards are met.  Additionally, all employees are required to utilize STOP WORK authority in any instance they feel their safety or the safety of others is in jeopardy, without fear of reprisal.  

Employees of Dynamic Drilling Fluids are required to do pre-job hazard assessments before starting any work.  This is best performed as a work group utilizing a Job Safety Analysis form or JSA.  If they discover a hazard, they are to first discuss the issue with a representative of the company to see if the hazard can be eliminated.  If a company representative cannot be contacted, then under no circumstance is the work permitted to start until the hazard has been assessed and controls put in place to mitigate the risks to an acceptable level, established by management of Dynamic Drilling Fluids.  

Dynamic Drilling Fluids will follow all safety protocols of the operating company that employs its services.

Training:

We ensure our personnel have the needed safety training.  This includes at least one of the following certifications: 

  • Safeland, Safegulf, Core Compliance, Rig Pass, or Basin United
  • We ensure our personnel are trained, certified, and authorized on all equipment they will be operating to include forklift and scissor lift operators.  
  • Our personnel have an annual H2S certification.
  • Our personnel are properly trained on the hazards associated with their job which includes any hazardous chemicals they could be exposed to under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard.  
  • All personnel are required to attend operator specific orientation before going to location.

Pre-Employment Fit for Duty:

At Dynamic Drilling Fluids we believe having people fit for the job is an essential part of any successful groups’ or individuals’ success.  This includes ensuring:

  • No one is allowed on location without a negative drug/alcohol screening and they remain in an active status within the drug/alcohol random pool.
  • No one is allowed to operate a company vehicle or equipment without having a driver’s license and background check suitable to our policy.
  • All personnel performing laborious tasks are required to have a fitness screening by a licensed medical professional to ensure they are physically capable of doing the job.
  • We ensure our personnel have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) as required by clients.  
  • When required, all personnel will be fit tested and medically cleared to wear a respirator and be clean shaven daily.
  • Our employees are provided personal protective equipment (PPE) and trained on proper selection and wearing of all PPE.  

Experience:

Dynamic Drilling Fluids’ policy is that we do not hire short service employees.  Studies have shown that the majority of incidents occurred with people during their first six months on the job.  To help alleviate those risks we only hire people with a minimum of six months experience performing similar duties.
